Harold Dale Harsh (94) passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the WV Veteran’s Nursing Home in Clarksburg. Dale was born on October 28, 1926, in Aurora, West Virginia to the late Harold and Gladys Harsh. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during World War II, serving in the Pacific & American Theaters. He was a resident of Coventry and Green, Ohio from 1950 to 2000. Dale retired from Goodyear Aerospace (where he earned the nickname “Windy” for his gift of gab) after 39 years of service. Dale enjoyed hunting and wood working and built the family home in Ohio. Dale was generous with his time using his talents to help family and friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Vicki Harsh and his second wife of 16 years, Wilda Harsh; son, Earl Harsh; brother, Richard Harsh, and sister, Linda Liston. He is survived by his children, Roy (Mary) Harsh, Rose (Larry) Collier, Diane (Rich) Stevens; grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Harsh, Matthew (Mariah Silk) Harsh, Richard (Mindy) Collier, Shon (Katie) Harsh, Laura (Avery) Dyer, Jessica Stevens, Jenna Stevens; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Starr, sister, Eldean Poling, brother, Lyle (Mary Ann) Harsh; two step-sons; Eugene (Linda) Wilt and Steven (Cheryl) Wilt; and four step-daughters, Beverly (Randy) Whetstone, Janice (Arthur) Forman, Cathy (Tom) Barr, and Martha (Danny) Poling, seven step-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
