Earl Moats, Jr.

Earl Henry Moats, Jr., 50, of Aurora, WV, died February 2, 2022, from the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born August 30, 1971 in Oakland, MD, the son of the late Earl Henry Moats Sr. and Betty Sue (Kelly) Moats.

Earl worked at Metiki Coal Mines for over 22 years. He enjoyed hunting, camping, riding 4 wheelers, and grilling out. His favorite time of the year was summer. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marylu Retta Moats; one sister, Sheila Ann Moats; three grandchildren, Hudson Wayne Liller, Daniel "Little Man" Holland and Raylee Holland.

Friends will be received, Monday, February 7, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm at the Aurora Memorial Building. A funeral service will be held, 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the Aurora Memorial Building with Pastor Debbie Strawser officiating. Interment will follow in the Aurora Cemetery. The Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Moats family at this time.
